October's protest processions where the Sudanese held a revolution against General Ibrahim Abboud, the President of the Republic of Sudan.
The revolution culminated in a change of government.
There were two other revolutions: one in April 1985 against Field Marshal Jafar al-Nimeiri and one on the 19th of December 2018 against Field Marshal Omar Hassan Ahmed al-Bashir.
The three revolutions lead to the replacement of military rule with civilian rule.
