On the arrival of a detachment from Berber; ʿUthmān Diqna explains that since the harvests last Autumn were weak, they do not have enough grain to feed themselves, and certainly not to provide for this new detachment which came with money but without supplies; ʿUthmān Diqna asks for grain to be sent to Berber from where he could bring it to his camp.
