ʿUthmān Diqna informs the Khalīfa that ʿAbd al-Bāqī Ḥasan has arrived a few days ago from Sawākin at the checkpoint of Kūkrayb. He wished to come to ʿUthmān Diqna and has arrived the day before yesterday. He told ʿUthmān Diqna that he had been imprisoned in Sawākin for some time until he found an opportunity to escape. He now wants to come to Omdurman and inform the Khalīfa on the situation of the unbelievers.
