On some of the men of Muḥammad al-Zākī ʿUthmān who could not cross the Nile due to the lack of boats, went to Atbara to the camp of ʿUthmān Diqna, discovered that most of the anṣār had already crossed to the west bank, and were then subsequently sent to Abū Dilayq with the first army.
