Aḥmad Maḥmūd ʿAlī acknowledges the satisfaction of the Mahdist administration in Tūkar toward his dealing with the tribes around Arkawīt. He seems to have imposed a fixed location upon them. He also rejoices at the news he recently received that the hypocrites (i.e. the tribes who opposed Mahdist authority) had been all killed during the last expedition against them. He requests ammunitions.
