Majdhūb Bakr explains to ʿUthmān Diqna that the camel post which had left 20 days prior was attacked by a group of Jamīlāb who killed all the camel riders except one who managed to escape. An expedition was launched against the Jamīlāb. They found them and killed all of them, but the letters had been burned. Majdhūb Abū Bakr is rewritting the different letters which were lost, and as a consequence, all are dated the same day.
