After Abū Qarja learned from his deputy, Ḥamad Muḥammad Khayr, of the decision of the Khalīfa to authorise al-Kindī’s transfer to another banner, he attacked the group of the latter and took from one of his brothers 425 riyāl qūshlī. Al-Kindī asks that the money be returned to his brother and that the Khalīfa writes to Abū Qarja to stop his opposition to his group.
