The presence of this letter in the same file is intriguing but rather difficult to explain. It is another translation by a member of the Department of Military Intelligence. It appears to have been sent from the Department of Military Intelligence in Sawākin to Cairo.
Lewey, the head of the Department of Military Intelligence in Sawākin explains that this letter was given to him by Muḥammad Awrair w. Mūsā, in an attempt to collaborate with British authorities in Sawākin.
