Demonstrates the outcomes of the efforts exerted by the Department of Sudanese Studies at the University of Khartoum to record Nubian architectural decorations and ornaments. This architectural and artistic heritage was threatened with disappearance after the construction of the Aswan High Dam.
The book explains how Nubian houses in the area of Wadi Halfa are decorated and ornamented.
The book consists of two chapters :
Chapter 1: Cultural influences in decorative Nubian art.
Chapter 2: The decorative works of women and the modus operandi of the ornaments .
At the end of the book there is a collection of images of decorative art on the houses and some other objects.
