Ansar al-Mahdi, in Sudan, is a Sudanese religious sect. It derives from the Qur'anic verse [Row:14]: 'I.E., who wished to be god's people' where Ansar was a higher degree of faith.
The Khatmiyya is a Sufi order or tariqa founded by Sayyid Mohammed Uthman al-Mirghani al-Khatim.
